“YOUR only enemy is YOU…”

Scroll down to content

I find now more than ever, people are searching for happiness, whatever happiness may mean to them. They searching for self-peace, to be happy with who they are and what they are. It comes down to the fact that the only true enemy that you have is yourself, because ultimately only YOU are responsible for your happiness, no one else.

Comparing is something that happens so naturally. Comparing your life to someone else’s, even comparing success or looks. It shouldn’t be this way though. If there were a rule book it shouldn’t be allowed. How can you compare one to another when you have grown up differently, were born in to different settings, took different paths, have different personalities and yes, LOOK different. THANK GOODNESS we look different, because if we were all the same, this world would be a pretty boring place. Happiness shouldn’t be based on how wealthy you are, how successful you are, how many likes you get or even on how you look. True happiness is being content with who you are, finding beauty in your flaws and striving to be the best version of YOU that YOU can be.

This flows over to every other aspect of your life. Finding happiness is not found in material things, it’s found in knowing who you are which will lead to being who you want to be. Just like having the control of your happiness, you have the control over every other aspect you have in your life. YOU are in control of your success, you manage your dreams and no one else does that! You are so incredibly blessed!

So instead of always looking for happiness, look in the mirror, because it begins with you. Be proud of who you are and be grateful for all that you do have and all that is around you, because there is only one of you…MAKE THE MOST OF IT!

I’ll leave this here:

“You are your own worst enemy. It is your negative thoughts that hold you back, nothing else.” – Leon Brown
